About the Role
Waitematā District Surgical Pathology Unit provides the histology and cytology services to both North Shore and Waitakere Hospital campuses as well as providing pathology services to BreastScreen Waitemata Northland and BreastScreen Auckland Central. We are seeking a highly motivated Administrator to join our administration team, working in a job share situation 9:30am-6pm Monday and Tuesday and 9:30am-1:30 Wednesday.
As an administration support team member, you will provide admin support to twelve anatomical pathologists who report on approximately 56,000 specimens from 30,000 patients per year from a wide range of specialities.

About you
If you possess the following range of skills, we look forward to receiving your application:
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and accurate data entry skills
- Experience in Dictaphone typing and exposure to medical terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Flexibility and willingness to work with changing priorities are essential
- Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of staff
- Well-developed time management skills
- Familiarity with Delphic AP and knowledge of hospital information systems would be advantageous (however training will be provided to the successful candidate)
