Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
As the AI Adoption & Change Lead, you will champion the integration of AI across the Social Investment Agency and Social Investment Fund. You’ll lead change efforts that empower people, transform processes, and ensure AI tools are adopted in a way that enhances performance and outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of a roadmap for AI and technology adoption.
- Identify opportunities and support teams to integrate AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
- Design and deliver training, resources, and strategies that build AI capability and confidence.
- Track and report on adoption success, impact, and business improvements.
- Collaborate with technical and leadership teams to align AI solutions with agency priorities.
- Champion cultural change and foster responsible AI use.

You’re a natural change leader with a passion for innovation and digital transformation. You combine technical awareness with a people-first approach, and you thrive in environments that are fast-moving and full of potential.
You’ll bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (change management or Agile certification desirable).
- Proven experience in organisational change, digital transformation, or innovation.
- Solid understanding of AI tools and their business applications.
- Excellent coaching, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Confidence in navigating resistance and influencing across an organisation.
- Familiarity with government frameworks and processes.
- Experience with tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and automation platforms is a plus.
- Awareness of Mātauranga Māori and tikanga is highly valued.

Band 18 : Min $124 233 Midpoint $146 157 Max $175 388 based on relevant skills and professional experience.
