The Opportunity: IP Lawyer- Auckland
We’re looking for a talented and ambitious IP lawyer to join our award-winning IP team, based in our Auckland office. This is your chance to work at the forefront of IP law, on high-impact matters for local and international clients.
What We’re Looking For:
You’ll ideally bring 4+ years PQE and proven experience advising on a broad range of IP matters. Most importantly, you’ll be intellectually curious, commercially minded, and passionate about delivering outstanding work in both contentious and non-contentious IP.
Your experience will include:
- Advising on trade mark strategy, clearance, filing, and global portfolio management
- Brand protection, anti-counterfeiting, and anti-piracy measures
- Marketing, advertising, and labelling compliance- including greenwashing and other claims review
- Handling disputes before IPONZ and in the High Court involving copyright, trade marks, designs, passing off and breaches of the Fair Trading Act
- IP litigation and enforcement strategies
- Drafting and negotiating IP licences and commercialisation agreements
- Conducting IP audits, due diligence, and supporting major transactions
