Butcher
Our busy New World Whanganui supermarket seeks a new Butcher for our very busy butchery department.
The work environment is busy and dynamic and will require the successful applicant to be able to work fast and efficiently while being able to work as part of a team and, at times, on your own. Some heavy lifting is required for this role and while it is hoped you will have extensive experience as a qualified butcher you must also posses a passion for your work and excellent customer service skills.
This is a full-time position with the hours being:
Sunday to Thursday 5am-1.30pm
To be successful in this position you will need to:
Have experience in a retail butchery.
Be able to work within our Food safety and Health and Safety systems.
Have a passion for great fresh food.
High Standards of presentation and quality.
At least 3 years’ experience in the meat retail industry.
A passion for delivering the best customer service experience.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Like to promote specialty cuts of meat.
