About the role
Join our dedicated Kitchen Team at Gulf rise Village located in Red Beach, North Auckland. We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable Cafe Assistant /Kitchen Hand to deliver excellent service to our residents. This role would suit someone who is motivated and keen to take advantage of our weekend shift allowance. You will also enjoy working as part of a team, as well as working unsupervised.
Shifts: Friday - Monday (AM shift)
Key duties:
- Taking food and beverage orders from our residents, visitors and staff
- Making amazing cups of coffee (semi-automatic machine)
- Serving and collecting meals in our café
- Serving meals to our residents (in the care home)
- Operating the cash register
- General cleaning including café equipment and cutlery
- Additional Kitchen duties as and when required
About You
- Positive attitude and a strong team player
- Flexibility to pick up different shifts
- Excellent food hygiene skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Empathy and a love for making an impact on our residents' lives
- Good time management and communication skills
- A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (advantageous)
- Commercial kitchen experience (advantageous)
