Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
The Carpenter will be responsible for performing site construction activities as directed by the supervisor, working collaboratively with other field personnel to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget. This includes constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures to the highest quality standards, while consistently applying Zero Harm principles and ensuring all safety systems and strategies are implemented and monitored.

Core skills required for the role:
- Previous Water Retention Tank carpentry experience
- Must be willing to travel as the role is predominantly based in Wellington, travel will be required to Manawatū-Whanganui and Canterbury.
- Experienced in working inside shoring/Confined space areas
- Working at Height training
- MEWP training
- Experienced working in/under Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) conditions
- Experienced working on Rail corridor in BoL (Book of Life) conditions
- Experience with Hydrophilic materials
- Experience in self-compacting concrete, formwork and placement
- Appropriate Driver Licence Classes for role

Experience, Educations & Qualifications:
- Level 4 qualification (trade certificate, diploma), OR at least 3 years of relevant experience can replace a formal qualification if no qualification
- Formal qualification is desired but can be replaced by suitable work experience.
- Effective communication skills.
