We are all about changing lives and creating pathways through meaningful Community Work projects. As a Community Work Supervisor, you will oversee and manage up to 8 community workers serving community work sentences on meaningful projects at schools, reserves, community groups, Marae and churches - whatever the community needs.
With a natural style to work collaboratively and top notch relationship management skills you will be someone who recognises the importance of the work Ara Poutama Aoteroa does and as we enter into a new and exciting era with Hokai Rangi, bring new ways of thinking to what is already a complex, dynamic and fast paced environment.
Work days could be Thursday or Friday and this is a casual on-call position.
The hours of work for a Community Work Supervisor are 7.30am - 4.30pm.
Mou | About you
We seek a dynamic person able to guide and motivate people in our care to complete their community work hours. Practical handy person skills and ability to communicate with individuals and groups are essential.
If you are a positive role model with a firm-but-fair management style and you can motivate and work with a variety of people in a variety of situations, then apply now. We will give you the training and support you need to become part of our team working to make communities safer. A full NZ drivers licence including the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential. Please note you will need to complete a criminal history check and undertake a pre-employment drug test.
You must work with high integrity and will demonstrate the Departmental values within your work: Wairua, Whanau, Manaaki, Kaitiaki and Rangatira.
