About the Role
We are looking for an experienced receptionist to join our team at the Kenepuru Accident & Medical Clinic on a casual basis. You will be responsible for meeting and greeting patients, maintaining accurate data records, invoicing patients, answering and directing incoming calls, managing administration tasks as required and ordering radiology referrals. The role is rostered and rotating.
The role is casual, and you would need to be able to work a combination of 7- and 8-hour shifts including weekends and night shifts within the roster.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Kenepuru Accident and Medical Clinic is a 24-hour Urgent Care Clinic that operates on the Kenepuru Hospital Campus to meet the needs of the local population. We are a busy and friendly team who provide a great front of house service to patients as well as providing clerical and administrative support to the Clinic.
About you
Essential requirements
- Ability to take ownership accountability and responsibility for the role.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Computer skills
- Ability to maintain patient and office confidentiality in line with the Privacy Act
- Previous knowledge of patient management systems is desirable
- Previous experience in a health environment is desirable
- NCEA Level 2/University Entrance or equivalent qualifications
Our new team member will have proven office administration and reception skills. You will be motivated, flexible and enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills, a strong customer focus, and the ability to work in a busy environment.
