Korero mo te turanga | About the role

The Commissioning team is a centre of excellence in social service commissioning and contracting, ensuring services are strategically aligned, outcome-focused, and compliant. The Commissioning Advisor plays a key role in supporting strategic planning, procurement, contract management, performance monitoring, and quality assurance. Collaboration across agencies and the social sector is essential to identify gaps, manage risks, and improve outcomes aligned with SIA's investment priorities.

He korero mou | About you

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and have experience in commissioning, contract or project management.
  • Collaborate effectively, embedding a performance-focused culture, and have strong relationship skills, including working with iwi and Maori organisations.
  • Understand commissioning methodologies, service co-design, performance-based contracting, and can apply te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in practice.
  • Build inclusive relationships, communicate clearly, demonstrate political awareness, align with organisational goals, and manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work under pressure.

Utu a-tau | Salary

Band 15: Min $76 925 Midpoint $90 500 $108 600 (offers are generally made between $76 925 and $90 500) depending on skills and experience.
