Are you passionate about Community Open Spaces and Assets?

Bring your strategic thinking, stakeholder and people-management skills to manage and develop Manawatū District Council's open spaces and property portfolio.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic leader who will:

  • Successfully lead, manage and enhance the Manawatū District's Property, Cemeteries, Halls, Parks, Reserves and Public Conveniences portfolio
  • Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with the community, including local iwi, who use these assets
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of professionals who take pride in delivering services to the community
  • Work with key stakeholders on developing ideas and concepts into designs/business cases, through to the actualisation of projects in alignment with Council's long-term plans
  • Successfully contribute to the development and implementation of Council strategy and policy.

What we're looking for

A relevant qualification with experience in property or open spaces management, or in managing a significant project portfolio is required.

Strong relationship management skills and the ability to engage with diplomacy and tact will be your superpowers.

This position is based at our Feilding office in the heart of our Manawatū District. You will be working together with the competent team to provide high standard facilities and parks for our community to utilise and experience.

The salary range for this role is$112k to $152k (Mid-point is $132k) determined by the experience you bring. We also offer a range of staff benefits, including 5 weeks' annual leave for all employees.
