Bring your strategic thinking, stakeholder and people-management skills to manage and develop Manawatū District Council's open spaces and property portfolio.
We are seeking an experienced and energetic leader who will:
- Successfully lead, manage and enhance the Manawatū District's Property, Cemeteries, Halls, Parks, Reserves and Public Conveniences portfolio
- Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with the community, including local iwi, who use these assets
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of professionals who take pride in delivering services to the community
- Work with key stakeholders on developing ideas and concepts into designs/business cases, through to the actualisation of projects in alignment with Council's long-term plans
- Successfully contribute to the development and implementation of Council strategy and policy.
What we're looking for
A relevant qualification with experience in property or open spaces management, or in managing a significant project portfolio is required.
Strong relationship management skills and the ability to engage with diplomacy and tact will be your superpowers.

The salary range for this role is$112k to $152k (Mid-point is $132k) determined by the experience you bring. We also offer a range of staff benefits, including 5 weeks' annual leave for all employees.
