We have an exciting opportunity for a lawyer to join the BNZ legal team. This role will suit someone keen to move to an in-house role working in an agile, energising environment in a supportive & collaborative team!
This is an Auckland or Wellington based hybrid role with a minimum of three days per week in the office and the ability to work flexibly for the remainder.

What are some day-to-day tasks the role will be responsible for?
Delivering appropriate legal support and advice to BNZ in relation to:
Contracts with suppliers and our parent company (National Australia Bank)
Key business relationships, joint ventures, and other commercial arrangements
Fintech and payments
BNZ Finance and Treasury matters
Policies, procedures, and effective governance
Compliance with, and the impact and implementation of, laws and regulations

What do we want you to know before you apply?
To be successful is this role you must have:
4+ years’ post-qualification legal experience
New Zealand legal experience at a reputable law firm and/or corporate, preferably in banking & financial services
Currently enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
