You’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, contribute to transformative projects, and play a key role in shaping how data drives decision-making across the AA.
What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga
- Build and maintain data pipelines using SQL, MySQL and Pentaho
- Work on large scale migration projects to Snowflake, DBT and Tableau Cloud
- Translate business requirements into sustainable data solutions
- Ensure scalability, security, performance, recovery and reliability in solutions
- Develop orchestration, metadata and workload management processes
- Apply DevOps practices (CI/CD) to data development and implementation
- Monitor and improve existing data management systems
- Support Master Data, Data Quality and Metadata Management processes
- Stay ahead of evolving data technologies and provide advisory input
About You | Mōu
- 3–4 years’ experience in a Data Engineer role (or similar)
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with large-scale databases
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS or Azure
- Experience with data pipeline design, ETL/ELT, and distributed architectures
- Python (or other scripting) development skills
- Understanding of Data Mesh, Data Lakes, serverless warehousing (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift)
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or related field
- Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI is an advantage
