We’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join our growing Auckland team.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you’ll be responsible for preparing competitive tenders and cost plan budgets across a wide range of commercial construction projects.

This role offers variety and autonomy, as well as the chance to work closely with design, engineering, construction and procurement teams to ensure estimates are accurate, efficient and aligned with project goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate tenders and cost plans in line with project and client requirements
  • Contribute to risk and margin analysis at tender close
  • Identify, assess and develop mitigation strategies for risk items
  • Conduct site visits to support the assessment of project scope and potential risks
  • Collaborate across internal teams to ensure estimates reflect design and construction methodologies
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline and strengthen estimating processes
About You
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the construction industry, ideally in commercial building
  • Proven experience preparing cost estimates, budgets and reviewing tender documentation
  • Skilled in identifying and mitigating risks during the tendering process
  • Proficient in quantity surveying and pricing methodologies
  • Competent in MS Excel, with experience in BuildSoft, Cubit, CostX and Bluebeam highly regarded
  • Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders
