Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
The Office of the Secretary (OSec) is a small team that sits at the centre of the Treasury, supporting the Secretary to the Treasury to lead the organisation. We do this by providing strategic advice to the Secretary on policy and organisational issues, and leading key operational systems and initiatives for the Treasury. We are a team which has a broad overview of the whole organisation and use our judgement to support all teams to deliver their mahi in line with the Treasury's Strategic Priorities.
As the Executive Assistant in OSec, you will provide professional executive support and advice to the Secretary, helping him to perform at his best. This will include:
- Providing high-level administrative support, anticipating the Secretary's needs.
- Proactively managing the Secretary's diary to align with key priorities.
- Overseeing the Secretary's inbox, ensuring correspondence is actioned promptly.
- Collaborating with a close-knit team to improve office systems and processes.
As the Executive Assistant to the Secretary, you'll have the opportunity to see the full range of Treasury's work, build networks across the Treasury and public sector, and contribute to managing live and important issues on a day-to-day basis.
