- Be responsible for delivering maintenance activities across a diverse portfolio
- Lead a small team and make a real impact through your leadership.
- Varied across different facilities, contractors, and teams.
At Hutt City Council, we're all about creating a connected, resilient, and inclusive city where everyone thrives. Right now, we're looking for a motivated Facilities Maintenance Lead to join our team and play a key role in keeping our community spaces safe, welcoming, and well-managed.

That means managing contracts, working with contractors and suppliers, and ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and to budget. You'll also build collaborative relationships across the organisation, ensuring a high standard of service and minimal disruption to those who use our facilities.
About you
We're looking for someone who brings:

- A strong track record in leading and developing teams.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management.
- Sound knowledge of building maintenance, asset management, and facilities operation.
- Confidence in contract negotiation, financial management, and work scheduling.
A relevant qualification or significant experience in facilities management would be a plus.
