Our Opportunity:
We're looking for a Facilities Manager to lead our Tauranga and Oamaru offices, ensuring our spaces are safe, welcoming, and set up for people to thrive. This role is a mix of people leadership, facilities management, and workplace experience, with a focus on delivering practical solutions that make Mercury a great place to work every day. This role is a fixed term contract covering parental leave.
- Lead and support a small Facilities team, ensuring they have clear direction and purpose.
- Take ownership of facilities management for Tauranga and Oamaru, making sure our offices are safe, functional, and well-presented.
- Manage landlord, supplier, and tenant relationships, including contracts, budgets, and service standards.
- Champion workplace experience by creating engaging, flexible spaces and supporting office events and initiatives.
- Oversee health and safety practices across both sites, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management.
- Monitor budgets (OPEX and CAPEX), provide reporting, and identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
From time to time, you may be required to work outside standard business hours to support emergency situations or contractor management.
Please note that the successful candidate would be required to be onsite (office based) to perform the duties of this role effectively.
