We are looking for an individual to fill the role of Farmer Support and Relationship Advisor in the South Canterbury/North Otago region. The FSRA is the go to person for operational help for farmers so this is a great opportunity for someone wanting to broaden their skills in day-to-day on farm support. This role leverages the full offering of the co-operative and proactively engages with our shareholders.
Responsibilities include managing farms within your region for Farm Dairy Assessment preparedness, Co-Operative Difference support and other operational tasks our farmers contend with. The ability to relate with farmer shareholders and work alongside them to understand Fonterra tools, apps and programmes will be key. You will need to be excellent at building strong relationships with our farmers, our team and other key internal stakeholders.

You must be highly organised, proactive, bring second-to-none communication skills and an ability to effectively engage with people from all parts of the industry. You will need to be resilient, able to negotiate tricky situations and stakeholders, and have excellent attention to detail. Naturally curious and passionate about the agriculture space, your customer focused approach and ability to build rapport quickly will help you succeed in this rewarding role
Ideally, you will have:
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Excellent ability to work in cross-functional teams;
- Strong planning skills and a demonstrated high level of resilience; and
- A good understanding of Farm Source policies, procedures and systems.
- A good understanding of CRM systems and digital tools
- Based in Christchurch
