The role/Te mahi
As a Finance Associate, you will provide expert financial advice, analysis and day-to-day support to executives and managers that strengthen the business unit’s finances and support effective decision making.
This role is part of the central Finance Advisory team of 50 staff and reports to the Finance Manager (Heath Sciences).
Skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako
- Providing financial advisory services, including month end accounting; financial reporting, analysis and commentary; financial forecasting and budgeting; financial modelling and analysis.
- Stakeholder engagement.
- Giving financial advice and guidance to non-finance senior managers.
Recognised qualification(s) appropriate to the role and considerable relevant finance experience are essential for the role.
A tertiary level qualification in an accounting/finance discipline is preferred.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours), permanent role located in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.
The appointment range for this position is $75,631 to $80,503. Top of range $88,750 per annum.
