Your responsibilities will include:

Lockheed Martin provides driving and transport services to our customer, the NZ Army, in support of local training exercises. Based at Waiouru Military Camp, this role requires flexibility to work outside standard hours, including weekends. All overtime will be compensated.
As a Fleet Driver, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Troop movements
  • Meal deliveries across training areas
  • Daily shuttle service to Palmerston North
  • Freight and supply runs
  • VIP driving and on-demand Duty Driver tasks
  • Conduct vehicle and equipment checks and complete operator maintenance, minor repair and servicing as required.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Full Class 1 & 2 Driver Licences + previous experience driving heavy vehicles
  • Passenger (P) Endorsement or ability to obtain one
  • An ability to deliver a high level of customer service and presentation
  • Physically fit, as some heavy lifting is required
  • Ability to work unsupervised

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a New Zealand Defence Security Clearance by meeting one of the following criteria:
  • A NZ citizen, OR
  • A NZ Permanent Resident who has resided in NZ for the past 5 years OR
A citizen of Australia, Canada, UK or the USA who has a current work permit for NZ
You will also be required to undergo pre-employment activities including drug screening and vetting by NZ Police.
