About the Role
As a Gastroenterologist at Christchurch Hospital, you will join a well-established, tertiary-level gastroenterology service that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care across the Canterbury region. You - ll work within a dedicated and collaborative team, delivering care, performing procedures, and actively contributing to service development and innovation.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the direction of gastroenterology services, participate in the on-call roster, and support the clinical training and supervision of junior doctors, students, and other health professionals. There is also scope for involvement in teaching and research.

About You
As a Gastroenterologist, you will bring:
- Vocational registration (or eligibility for registration) in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Competence in general gastroenterology and endoscopy
- A collaborative, patient-centred approach to care
- Interest in teaching, supervision, and service development
- Subspecialty interest or research background is welcomed
