Job Description
Located in the heart of Auckland’s vibrant CBD, Avani Auckland Metropolis Residences offers stylish serviced apartments with stunning views over the city and harbour. Combining heritage architecture with modern comforts, we provide guests with the perfect balance of convenience, comfort and sophisticated urban living.
We are now seeking an experienced, dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of this landmark property. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring the property upholds the high standards of the Avani brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to all hotel departments.
- Drive guest satisfaction and ensure exceptional service standards are consistently met.
- Maximise revenue and profitability through effective yield and cost management.
- Oversee the preparation and achievement of budgets, forecasts, and financial targets.
- Develop and mentor a motivated, engaged team that delivers operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations and local legislation.
- Maintain strong relationships with guests, owners, corporate stakeholders and the wider community.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leader in a hotel or serviced apartments environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue and managing budgets.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and people management skills.
- A commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience.
- Knowledge of the Auckland hospitality market is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
