Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi - About the Role
The Local and Global Marketing team is responsible for promoting Ara's brand, programmes, and value proposition across domestic and international markets. The team leads the development and delivery of targeted marketing strategies that drive awareness, interest, and enrolments, aligned to institutional goals and priority areas. Working across traditional and digital channels, the team plans and executes campaigns that respond to market trends, learner needs, and recruitment objectives. This team ensures Ara is visible, competitive, and relevant in a dynamic and evolving education landscape — locally, nationally, and globally.
A key member of the Local and Global Marketing team, the Global Business Partner role is focused on managing relationships with international partners, fostering collaborations that enhance Ara's international profile and opportunities, and seeking new opportunities to enable the growth of offshore provision. This role plays a critical part in building and maintaining relationships with international education partners and representing Ara in the global education network to support Ara's internationalisation goals.
Ngā Pūkenga Me Ngā Wheako - Skills and Experience
- A tertiary qualification at Degree level in Sales or Marketing or the equivalent body of knowledge gained through experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to execute comprehensive engagement strategies and proactively anticipate and address stakeholder needs and concerns
- Enthusiastic promoter in the global education space.
- Active and engaging with global audiences and able to adapt to realise planned engagement strategies.
- Understanding of marketing and engagement principles and the role of global education in achieving organisational objectives.
- Sound communication and engagement skills to connect with diverse audiences.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to utilise data to adapt approaches for improved outcomes.
- Collaborative and proactive approach to working within a team and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to build and facilitate effective relationships, and to influence and negotiate successful outcomes
- Possess an understanding of how contracts work in a transnational context
- Strong written and oral communications skills and a natural presenter
