About The Role:
This is a fixed term role until August 2026 to cover maternity leave.
We’re looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join us and help keep our people safe and supported. Reporting to the Health & Safety Lead, you’ll play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring our health, safety, and wellbeing systems across the business. From coordinating training and inductions to supporting audits and site visits, you’ll be at the centre of ensuring compliance, promoting safe practices, and fostering a strong safety culture.
Here's what you can expect in your day-to-day:
- Coordinate H&S training, inductions, and records.
- Monitor, audit, and report on H&S performance.
- Arrange PPE and equipment for staff.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and support incident investigations.
- Provide advice and admin support to promote safe practices.
What you’ll bring:
Essential:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role.
- Knowledge of HSWA 2015 legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience maintaining databases and training records.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build relationships and encourage a positive safety culture.
Desirable:
- National Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety Management (Level 3) or ICAM investigation training.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 and auditing experience.
- Experience in underground or overhead fibre installation.
