TeTūranga – About the role Due to Maternity leave and internal movements within the HR Team, we have an opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join us on a 7-month FTC. Working as part of the broader HR Team, you'll support our New World stores across the North Island, ensuring they have strong people strategies and engagement across their businesses. Key Responsibilities: · Strategic business partnering with New World Owner Operators across the North Island · We've just wrapped up our 2025 Engagement Survey, so you'll partner with Owner Operators to understand and bring to life engagement in store. · Coach and Support through ER/IR, investigations and conflict resolution with a focus on providing pragmatic advice. · Support data-driven decision-making through effective people and performance metrics. · Champion HR skills in stores and collaborate with other Store HRBP’s and store-based HR teams to add value to the HR space in stores Ngāpainga - What we offer We’re committed to providing awesome experiences for our people, including offering a range of benefits · Company vehicle – as this role will include regularly travelling to our stores.· Onsite café with subsidised meals, mini mart, 5% discount at our retail stores · Flexible working options, a day off on your birthday · Inhouse learning and development courses, flu vaccinations, and social network groups (we call them Tribes) He kōrero mōu - About you Ideally, you'll have a strong background in HR within medium to large enterprises, preferably in retail or customer-focused environments with exposure and experience across engagement and culture, ER, IR and HR advisory. Proactive and collaborative in your approach, you'll effortlessly build relationships to coach and influence great people outcomes. With stores dotted across the North Island you'll need to be able to hit the road (at least bi-weekly) and be present on-site with our Owners. This is not your average office job, but one where you'll get to travel around the North Island engaging in meaningful people centered work.
