Our Intern Programme
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical/professional hours in Civil Engineering while contributing to real projects and initiatives. Our internship programme commences November 2025 and ends in February 2026. This programme is designed to provide you with hands-on experience of our company's day-to-day operations, our values-based culture, and the contracting side of the construction industry.
In addition to the above you will:
Apply academic knowledge and theory to a practical business environment.
Assume responsibility and accountability to successfully complete assignments or tasks.
Learn about Fulton Hogan, our customers, and our direction.

We're looking for someone who:
Is studying towards a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from a NZ-recognised tertiary institute.
Holds a NZ/Australian citizenship or NZ permanent residence status.
Has a passion for practical, hands-on contracting work.
Has strong organisational skills and a proactive, self-directed approach to work.
Is open minded, adaptable, curious and ready to learn.
Is able to commit to full time work from November 2025 to February 2026.
Has a strong emphasis on safety and consistently demonstrates ethical behaviour while treating others with respect.
