DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Junior Customs Broker in Auckland.


This role is dedicated to managing the end-to-end freight forwarding process for a large key client account. The Junior Customs Broker will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of import and export Customs entries, covering all stages from job registration through to delivery and billing.


Your Typical Day at DSV:

  • Prepare and lodge import/export Customs entries, ensuring compliance with NZ Customs.

  • Monitor and track shipments, arranging deliveries and coordinating with transport providers to ensure timely clearance and delivery.

  • Manage client communication by providing proactive updates, resolving queries, and delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Oversee end-to-end freight forwarding processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

  • Prepare operational and client reports, while managing billing in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Liaise with Customs, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transport companies to support smooth operations and long-term client partnerships.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, supporting client satisfaction and long-term partnership.

About you:

  • Minimum 1 year in Customs brokerage with a valid NZ Customs PIN.
  • Knowledge of NZ Customs Tariff, INCOTERMS, and MPI requirements.
  • High accuracy in data entry with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and resolve problems effectively.
