Job Description
An opportunity has arisen to join the company as a Key Projects Sales Manager to manage Sika New Zealand’s Key Projects and Key Owner processes. In this role you will represent Sika’s technologies and capabilities to engineers, architects, contractors, applicators and other relevant specifiers nationally. Functions include providing technical support to specifiers and staff and presenting product information seminars.
On a daily basis you will be:
- Hunting new business and developing opportunities in line with our company strategies
- Working with the sales/specification team to ensure key decision makers are known
- Managing new and existing key owner accounts and projects
- Working with architects and designers to create system specifications
- Developing strong relationships in related industries
- Responding to customer enquiries leading to providing specifications
- Attending trade events and seminars where appropriate
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates familiar with the specification processes of the construction industry. Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or architecture would be advantageous. Most importantly, you will have the personal attributes and presentation skills to communicate effectively with specifiers as well as managing a small team of three Specification Managers.
As the successful candidate you will:
- Be a strong hunter with a proven record in sales development
- Be familiar with the specification processes of the construction industry
- Have people management experience
- Have sales experience in a construction related industry
- Have the ability and willingness to travel nationally with some nights away
- Have excellent relationship building skills
- Have strong negotiation skills with the ability to compete on areas other than price
- Be able to work autonomously where required
- Have strong written and oral communication skills
- Be computer literate with the ability to use email, word and basic excel
