Food makes such a difference to the residents’ lives which is why Foxbridge Care Home located in Hamilton is searching for a Kitchen Assistant to support the Chefs with providing deliciously nutritious meals for the residents to enjoy. This is a Permanent role working 203 hours over a 6 weeks roster period on a 4 on and 2 off roster cycle (approximately 34 hours/week). The shift timings would be either 7am to 2pm or 10:30am to 7pm. 

 Key Tasks and Responsibilities 

• General kitchen duties (dishwashing and cleaning).
• Assist with food preparation.
• Adhere to Hygiene and food safety standards.
• Maintain confidentiality. 
• Follow Health and Safety procedures. 

About You

• Ideally, you will have one year’s work experience in a similar role, however, we will provide training and support with career development. 
• You will be a team player, with the ability to work independently, and who is prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into to whatever needs to get done.
• Demonstrate empathy, enthusiasm, and have a genuine passion for making a difference to residents.
• Ability to work rostered and rotating shifts (including weekends).
• Reliable transport or travel arrangements. 
• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
