About the role
Join our dedicated Kitchen Team at The Poynton Village located in Takapuna, North Auckland. We have an exciting opportunity for reliable Kitchen Hand to deliver excellent service to our residents. This role would suit someone who is motivated and wanting to start a career in the kitchen. You will also enjoy working as part of a team, as well as working unsupervised.
Shift available: Thursday - Sunday (start time 10am or 11am) - 25 hours per week
- Assist Chefs in food preparation and kitchen duties
- Ensure that excellent quality meals are served on a timely basis
- Food is served in the designated area using correct techniques.
- Food safety hygiene control processes are followed strictly.
- Responsible for clearing tables and putting dishes and cutlery through the dishwasher.
- Responsible for cleaning kitchen and dining areas after meals.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of professional standards and customer service.
About You
- Positive attitude and a strong team player

- Exceptional customer service skills
- Empathy and a love for making an impact on our residents' lives
- Good time management and communication skills
- A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (advantageous)
- Commercial kitchen experience (advantageous)
