As part of the Leadership, Culture and Wellbeing team, the Leadership & Culture Design Lead will lead the design and development of learning solutions and materials to help us grow the best leaders, so that they can execute against our strategy, drive the desired culture and enable exceptional outcomes for customers and colleagues. You will be designing innovative learning solutions that deliver real impact and be challenged on a daily basis.
This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly.

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
We are seeking an experienced learning designer with a strong background in leadership development.
At BNZ, we have a well-established Leadership fundamentals programme providing a solid foundation for leadership training and skill build. You will have the opportunity to work with the Leadership Capability Coaches, designing learning solutions to embed the leadership fundamentals across the bank.
Building on a strong foundation, you will be working with the wider Leadership & Talent and Culture & Wellbeing specialists to create innovative learning solutions that enable leadership development across different leadership levels, support talent development, colleague experience and culture transformation.

What are 5 day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Lead the design and development of learning solutions aligned to the BNZ Leadership Capability Framework.
- Ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of existing leadership programmes at BNZ.
- Lead the design and development of leadership initiatives to support culture change.
- Lead and manage the project scope and deliverables to meet go live deadlines. Effectively engage with key stakeholders and subject matter experts at all stages of the design life cycle.
- Design the evaluation method and manage the ongoing evaluation to track progress against learning outcomes, assess impact and effectiveness of learning initiatives.

What technical skills are REQUIRED for this role?
- Instructional design in leadership solutions against leadership competency frameworks.
- Proficiency in Learning Design Software (i.e. Articulate Storyline and Rise).
What does an ideal candidate look like?
- Experienced in designing and developing leadership learning solutions across different leadership levels, using a variety of learning delivery methods and tools.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to set up strong operating rhythm to deliver against work plans.
- Experience in designing leader-facing initiatives to enable culture transformation.
- Extensive knowledge of facilitation techniques and a sound understanding of coaching methodologies.
- Experience in designing leadership assessment tools (e.g. 360 survey and skill assessment) and leadership development centres (incl. simulations).
