The Role

We are looking for two vibrant and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about connecting with the community and fostering a love of learning through the support of our physical and digital library collections.

As the first point of contact for members of our libraries, you will play an essential role in the delivery of our awesome services. You will be an excellent communicator with a can-do attitude and thrive when delivering exceptional frontline customer service. When it comes to all things tech, you will have it covered.

Ideal candidates will have relevant experience working within a library or similar customer-focused environment.

As this is a casual role, we are looking for an individual with a flexible workstyle - often available to work at short notice to cover absences at Temuka Library, Information & Service Center and Geraldine Library & Service Center. If you enjoy helping people as much as you enjoy reading and talking about books, this is the perfect role for you!

The hourly rate for this role is $30.01 - $30.91.
