The Maintenance Engineer plays a pivotal role in keeping our plant running safely, efficiently, and at the cutting edge of technology. From manufacturing and packing equipment to utilities, HVAC, mechatronics, automation and laboratories, you'll ensure every machine is ready when it's needed. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement, optimise performance, and help us maintain the highest standards of safety and GMP compliance - making you a key part of our operational excellence.
What you'll do
- Lead projects that improve, innovate, and optimise our mechanical and (EST only) electrical systems, from concept to completion.
- Drive upgrades and enhancements that boost efficiency, productivity, and safety across the plant.
- Bring new equipment to life, collaborating with teams and ensuring smooth validation.
- Tackle challenges head-on, troubleshooting and solving problems to keep our plant running at peak performance.
- Own the maintenance of all machinery, utilities, HVAC, lab, and production equipment.
- Ensure everything runs safely, reliably, and to GMP standards, responding quickly to breakdowns or issues.
- Perform inspections, calibrations, and practical engineering tasks that make a real difference every day.
- Lead electrical installations, safety checks, and PLC diagnostics with precision and expertise.
- Maintain critical spares and engineering databases to ensure smooth operations.
- Produce insightful reports and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, efficiency, and innovation.
- Shape SOPs, EWIs, and change management processes to keep our plant ahead of the curve.
- Deliver essential electrical safety documentation and compliance.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years in industrial maintenance or plant engineering, skilled with mechanical, pneumatic, and production machinery.
- Engineering Trade Test Certificate or relevant tertiary qualification.
- Hold an Electrical Service Technician (EST) licence or registration with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) is desired, if not, we will help you to become a licenced professional.
- Troubleshoot, optimise, and maintain equipment for efficiency, safety, and compliance.
- Experienced in planned maintenance, mechatronics and automation, and practical engineering across facilities.
- Skilled in electrical systems, automation, PLCs, and instrument control.
- Tech-savvy with strong Health & Safety, GMP, and security awareness.
- Excellent communicator, self-driven, organised, and solution focused.
