You will be supporting and assisting all production teams to ensure the availability and reliability of all electrical and mechanical plant on site, to achieve the required level of performance as specified in the Business Plan. Apply both Mechanical and Electrical skills to the fault finding and repair of Plant Equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to plant breakdowns and failures as identified by the Production Supervisor, Production Team or Maintenance management
- Plan and execute maintenance tasks (scheduled and emergent) relevant to equipment on site.
- Implementation and development of routine maintenance checks and associated standard maintenance procedures.
- Ensure equipment, materials, and tools are on hand for work execution. Reports resources, and time utilised, job scope expansion, rework, or deferred maintenance as required.
- Ensuring mechanical and/or electrical spare parts availability for scheduled and projected jobs, inclusive of spare inventory, checking and managing mechanical and/or electrical spares, and managing the equipment refurbishment process for mechanical and/or electrical parts.
- Assist with the development and application of safe and practical machinery isolation practices.
- Comply with safe working practices as per job safety environmental assessments (JSEAs), and safety operating procedures.
Key Attributes
- Proven electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Qualified tradesperson – Mechanical and Electrical Trade Certificate.
- New Zealand Electrical registration is essential
- Instrumentation and automation experience required.
- Basic PLC navigation experience is advantageous.
- Flexible to support day & night shifts and on-call / callouts
- Full NZ driver's licence class 1
- Proactive problem-solving approach to work with awareness of cost control
