About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Nurse Manager to lead a skilled and dedicated nursing team in our well-established and highly regarded cancer treatment service. This is a great opportunity for a senior oncology nurse who brings advanced clinical expertise, values leadership, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
You’ll be part of a service with a proud history of delivering high-quality, whānau-centred care. The role focuses on fostering strong collaboration across clinical teams and aligning operational and clinical priorities to ensure a seamless, patient-centred experience. As a member of the senior leadership team, you’ll help shape the culture of the service, support your team, and drive clinical excellence.

About You:
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the strategic and hands-on aspects of leadership; someone who can guide, support, and inspire a team, while also being comfortable stepping in when needed. You will need:
- Minimum 5 years post-graduation experience, with extensive expertise and a strong passion for improving cancer outcomes through excellence in care (minimum 3 years).
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a cancer treatment leadership position.
- A collaborative, can-do attitude and the ability to lead by example
- A strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to its application in healthcare.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for developing others and fostering a positive, supportive team culture
