Job Summary:
We are seeking two skilled Painters to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the expert preparation, finishing, and decorative treatment of surfaces across residential and commercial projects. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, proficiency with industry tools and materials, and strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Responsibilities of this role:
- Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting or finishing by scraping, sanding, removing old paint, wallpaper, and loose material.
- Fill cracks, holes, and imperfections with appropriate filler materials to create smooth, flawless substrates.
- Advise customers on colour selection, paint types, and finishes to meet their aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Accurately mix paints and materials to achieve specified colours, textures, and consistencies.
- Apply paints, primers, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or sprayers according to specifications and best practices.
- Measure, cut, paste, and hang wallpaper, vinyl, and backing paper seamlessly.
- Apply varnishes, sealers, and specialty finishes to protect surfaces and achieve desired effects.
- Clean, maintain, and properly store all tools and equipment; keep work areas tidy and hazard-free.
- Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Complete all painting work efficiently within agreed timelines and schedules.
Job pre-requisites:
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience OR a relevant level 4 qualification is required.
- Ability to perform tasks independently or as part of a team.
- Eyes for details and a hard-working attitude.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deal with urgent requests.
- Being physically fit.
- Must not have any criminal records.
