Westgate PAK'NSAVE is seeking a full-time Checkout Manager.
We are seeking an individual with a strong focus on people and the ability to lead a team effectively. The ideal applicant should be results-driven and skilled in planning and implementing strategies to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, they should maintain a customer-focused approach that consistently meets and exceeds expectations. Excellent organisational skills and a cooperative spirit that aligns with the store's values are essential, along with solid retail leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing, organizing, supervising, and supporting our checkout team.
- Admin tasks such as timesheets and rosters. Schedule and manage shifts, ensuring appropriate cover at all times.
- Monitor customer services including lotto, checkout operating, packing, and supervising. And handle customer queries or complaints professionally.
- Overseeing the successful operations of our checkout team.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and compliance with store policies and procedures.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Liaise with management to improve checkout efficiency and customer experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Assist with other store duties when required.

- You must also be physically fit as it involves being on your feet all day.
- Proven experience in a retail or supervisory role.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Must be flexible to help the team when needed.
The hours for the role:
This is a salaried position - 45 hours a week over the following days.
Tuesday - Saturday 7:30 - 17:00
