About the Role
We have an opportunity for a People and Operations Support to join our regional Te Waipounamu team in a key role as part of the National Public Health Service (NPHS).
The purpose of the People and Operations Support role is to provide support to the People and Operations team that enables the efficient delivery of key services across the region.
The role will provide overarching support and coordination to the Manager People and Operations and the regional operational leads including the Business, Clinical, and Learning and Development functions of the People and Operations team.

About you
You have proven experience in the administrative support of a senior leader. You have experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action. You are able to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills and handle sensitive information appropriately. You well organised, able to complete tasks on time, and has a good eye for detail.
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
- 5+ years' experience in senior administrative roles
- You are able to demonstrate an ability to build rapport, be a good listener and are easy to talk to
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver work on time, and to required standards across the breadth of the role
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles required to process administration of expenses and accounts including following policies and procedures as required
- You're able to demonstrate the ability and willingness to effectively work during times of uncertainty and change
- Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel and can support others in their use
- Demonstrate a willingness to build constructive and effective relationships with stakeholders to build a sound understanding of their operational environment and context
