Join a dynamic environment within the Health and Safety Sectoral and Health and Safety Policy teams.
We have an opening for an experienced Personal Assistant / Team Administrator to support our Sectoral Health Safety and Health and Safety Systems Policy teams.
These teams sit within the Workplace Relations and Safety Policy branch which is focused on issues relating to the accident compensation, employment relations and employment standards, and workplace health and safety regulatory systems.
This role will give you exposure to interesting work that significantly contributes to the wellbeing of Aotearoa. You will provide administrative support in a pragmatic and constructive way that will enable the team to keep commitments and to achieve deliverables. You will be supporting the teams to connect with internal and external stakeholders, and other ministries.
About the teams:
The Sectoral Health and Safety Policy team focuses on addressing issues in various sectors, working towards a comprehensive set of interventions to help businesses comply with their health and safety obligations.
The Health and Safety Systems Policy team lead advice on strategic issues across work health and safety and energy safety including regulatory reform, system priorities, performance and interfaces and oversight of system levers and funding matters.
- Proven experience in being a PA and Team Administrator or similar roles
- Diary management and competent user of Outlook, Microsoft office and other business systems (finance, HR and Document Management Systems)
- Skilled in using/applying processes with judgement and common sense
- Strong written and interpersonal communication and relationship management skills
