About the Role
We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our wider CSA team with a focus on supporting our physiotherapy service. The key responsibilities of this role include referral management, waitlist management, scheduling appointments, ACC contract knowledge and execution, and reception duties.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Community Health Services Administration (CSA) is a collaborative administrative team that supports Allied Health services and District Nursing teams across the inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
Based within the main campus of Gisborne Hospital, we are a first point of entry for referrals, waitlist management, appointment bookings, consumables coordination, and funding management. CSA strives to achieve equitable outcomes for the community through patient-centric values driven by quality-focused innovation.

About you
As an experienced administrator, you enjoy working in a complex environment, are task focused, and self-motivated. To be successful you must be able to work at a fast-pace, juggle changing priorities and work collaboratively with a diverse range of people and organisations. You will have:.

- Proven ability to be self-directed and autonomous.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Minimum of one year experience in a hospital-based or healthcare setting administration role.
- Knowledge of ACC health contracts.
- Ability to maintain patient and office confidentiality in alignment with the Privacy Act.
- Proven knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (MS Outlook, Word, Excel), or equivalent e.g. Google Workspace
- Proven knowledge of hospital-based systems such as i.PM, Best Practice (BePrac), ACC Gateway, and Midland Clinical Portal (MCP).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Proven organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritise as appropriate.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A positive attitude to go the extra mile to assist others
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey of learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly within healthcare settings.
