The Role

Here at Fisher & Paykel Appliances, we design with people in mind and the lives lived around our products. We aim to create moments of delight together in the heart of the home, sustainably enhancing the quality of people's lives, now and for future generations. This purpose is the very heart of why we exist, it's our reason for being here. As a team, we take a collaborative approach and have a working environment where all ideas are heard, evaluated, and tested against our leading goal - to be the world's most human-centered appliance brand.

This is where you come in…

Due to a specific gap in the Fabric Care team, we are looking for a highly experienced product development engineer with consumer appliances experience to join us in Auckland.  The role will provide plenty of specific new product design challenges and you will be an integral senior addition to our fabric care product development teams.

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8.00-4.30pm 40 hours per week.

What we’re looking for…

To be considered for this position, you will need to be a tertiary qualified mechanical engineer with current experience designing laundry/fabric care products for key global consumer markets.  We anticipate someone with at least 5+ years’ experience will be required to demonstrate the right level of skill in design and problem solving.  Skills in thermodynamics and heat pump technology are essential.

What we offer…

Our environment is designed to allow people to thrive and work at their best. Our culture is one in which our engineers can constantly develop, working alongside a team of talented and skilled engineers. You’ll be part of a team-based culture that offers benefits such as development opportunities, a challenging and supportive work environment, leading technology, work/life balance, competitive remuneration, and buying privileges.

Apply now to find out more about the chance to be a part of a team developing the world's next generation of luxury premium laundry appliances and technology, right here in Auckland.
