Description & Requirements
The Product Manager will be accountable for overseeing the product strategy, development and lifecycle management of products. This role bridges the gap between business objectives and user needs, delivering innovative and impactful solutions that align with Spark NZ's capabilities and policies.
This role requires an experienced small and medium enterprise B2B Product Manager with a track record of delivering impactful outcomes.
Strategy
- Development and updates of product strategy, including market and competitor analysis, and roadmap development, with special emphasis on product lifecycle management
- Working with other product managers to align cross-portfolio strategy and roadmap
- Leading and fostering data-driven culture, using data to validate product decisions
- Utilising learnings from experimentation to inform product development and strategy
Development
- Overseeing the 5D product development process from Discovery through to Determine phases, ensuring all activities are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Working closely with broader stakeholders to deliver products that meet customer needs and business objectives.
Lifecycle Management
- Ensuring product profitability and return on investment, through pricing strategies and cost management.
- Regular review and update of product performance metrics, using data to inform product strategy and development decisions
The role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of product and proposition development processes, and a customer-centric approach. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of product lifecycle, be comfortable with complexity and a great collaborator with a growth mindset.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities within their area of focus while staying aligned with broader strategic priorities.
- Skilled at engaging and aligning stakeholders to drive collective progress and outcomes
- Experience with direct customers and sales team is a bonus to bring and uncover insights and shape direction and share roadmap
