We are looking for skilled Production Technicians to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for precision, quality, and continuous improvement, this is the opportunity for you based in Cambridge, Waikato.
To be successful in the role you will have
- At least 3 years’ experience in an engineering, mechanical, IT or printing related role in a manufacturing or production environment
- OR a tertiary qualification in an engineering, mechanical, IT or printing related role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain machinery according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct routine inspections and replace parts to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Perform diagnostic checks to identify and resolve malfunctions in automated systems.
- Program, setup and operate machines such that parts are made on time and of the correct quality and quantity.
- Improve upon machine cycle times and program paths
- Monitoring any machine faults and dealing with these accordingly
- Complete daily maintenance tasks on machinery including TPMs
- Complete weekly TPMs thoroughly and to the appropriate work instruction
- Assist in quality control by making necessary adjustments to meet product specifications.
- Interpret product drawings, perform quality checks, and apply engineering tolerances.
- Program, set up, and operate machines to ensure timely and accurate production.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the maintenance team.
- Support continuous improvement efforts through LEAN initiatives.
- Support maintenance engineers with advanced maintenance tasks, such as testing the fully automated glass loading crane following the completion of corrective actions
- Assist with product dispatch as needed and support the implementation of new processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience in an engineering, mechanical, IT or printing related role in a production environment OR a tertiary qualification in an engineering, mechanical, IT or printing related role.
IDEAL but not essential:
- Experience with highly automated, industry 4.0 machinery.
- CNC programming and operation skills.
- Knowledge of TPM systems, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.
