Programme Co-ordinator (12 month fixed term)

The Office of the Auditor-General | Te Mana Arotake aims to improve trust and confidence in public services by giving New Zealanders an independent view of government spending and performance. As the statutory auditor of all public organisations, from councils to schools, the Auditor-General's work plays a major part in ensuring that our public sector remains one of the most trusted in the world.

We're looking for a Programme Co-ordinator to join our Data and Analytics team. You'll be supporting our data platforms project, part of a programme to develop the Office's data foundations, analytics, and data-sharing capability. In this role you'll work closely with the Director, Data and Analytics to manage finance and risk registers, oversee project controls and governance activities, facilitate internal meetings, and co-ordinate stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

  • strong experience in programme or project co-ordination, ideally in data and analytics or technology-focused programmes;
  • excellent organisational skills;
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools; and
  • a proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach.

This is a part-time role (up to 25 hours per week) with flexibility in how those hours are worked - for example, spread across three to five days. The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where the subject matter can be quite technical.

We offer our staff:

  • Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Supportive hybrid working arrangements (flexible hours/days).
  • Health and well-being benefits.
