- You will help lead out work to implement Government priorities for primary care, including the initiation of data sharing from primary care and establishing the primary health target and other exciting initiatives.
About the Role
As the Programme Manager in the primary care team, you will ensure there are robust systems and processes in place to manage a number of the large and significant primary care initiatives underway. The priority for the role will be to lead work, alongside others in the team to establish the required processes for data sharing from primary, the establishment of the health target and related engagement with the sector. You will be required to go beyond managing the programme of work, to leading the work alongside others in the team and together delivering to the targeted milestones.
In this role, you will establish and manage workstreams that are necessary to deliver the work, including oversight of key deliverables, robust methodology and effective reporting on progress made on key initiatives.
About the Team & Service
You will join the Primary Care team, who are the leads for services and developments related to community pharmacy, general practice, PHO, digital enablers and other essential portfolios that underpin strong, accessible primary and community care across New Zealand. In your national role, reporting to the GM Primary Care, you will collaborate with colleagues to influence health development and drive meaningful improvements in health outcomes for people and whānau throughout the country.
About you
As the Programme Manager, you will be able to manage effective programme reporting, including on progress made on key initiatives, triangulated with activity and performance data, as well as risk management and escalation. You will have experience managing dependencies and risks between programmes, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective actions to ensure successful outcomes.
You will have:
- Knowledge of primary care data sets, systems and the sector
- Experience in managing a range of competing programme priorities using programme management methodologies
- Experience driving and delivery of work programmes and project planning to ensure delivery of work on time, and within budget
- Ability to implement and manage strategic population health programmes of work that have made a clear impact on equity of outcomes, including workforce development capacity and capability building
