The Remuneration range for this role begins from $71,769 (including KiwiSaver), appointment remuneration will be dependent on skills and experience.
The opportunity
Wellington Water Ltd have created a new project management function to ensure critical three water assets are prioritised, and effectively managed within external civil and construction projects by developers, and external construction management contractors. This function will bring water project management for externally delivered activity in-house.
As Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting multiple project workstreams and ensuring smooth coordination across a diverse range of community civil projects. Working closely with internal design and engineering teams, external delivery partners, and local councils, you’ll help keep projects on track and aligned with strategic goals by providing progression, performance and technical information.
Your responsibilities will include coordinating hui with external contractors and council stakeholders, supporting procurement and investment processes, maintaining accurate document control, and tracking project activities. You will also support activity scheduling and ensuring the Project Management Team has clear oversight of project plans and timelines to enable efficient and effective delivery.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Experience utilising project tools and methodologies (e.g MS Projects, Jira, Confluence) for tracking tasks and information within projects.
- Ability to prepare, present and report on status of completed and outstanding tasks and engage with various project leads.
- Understanding of financial administrative tasks and excellent minute and note taking.
- Previous experience working in a project capacity at minimum as a project coordination role.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Confidence to engage with a variety of stakeholders and individuals to ensure actions are completed and meet project schedules.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Experience in either a civil/infrastructure setting would be beneficial.
