About the role
We are looking for a lively, on the ball, quick thinking Project Manager to play a pivotal role in our transformation focused Project Management Office. Based in Auckland, we are looking for someone with energy and focus to help us continue to help Kiwis work Smarter. We are eager to meet forward thinkers who are excited about their next opportunity!
This position of Project Manager is responsible for leading projects and driving business change involving several organisations and/or business units and disciplines of work with automation and process improvement and digitalisation in mind. The role ensures successful delivery of the projects business objectives, benefit realization and management of business change at both operational and strategic levels.
Other duties include:
- You’ll be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle—from planning through to delivery—across a range of business transformation projects
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously managing schedules, budgets and risk
- Heard the cats, and make sure we are delivering to objectives
Monitor project activities on a regular basis, conducting regular reviews and report to PMO, and presenting to steering committees and senior leadership team
- Supervise project staff by providing direction, communicating job expectations, planning, assigning, and scheduling, monitoring and appraisal of job contributions and enforcing compliance to policies and procedures.
Skills & experience
We are looking for someone has a solid toolset of project management skills and worked with a mixed bag of PMs/BAs with similar mindsets.
The successful candidate will also display:
Excellent communication and planning skills
Ability to drive and direct conversations to outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
A minimum of 4-years’ experience as project manager
