What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga
We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Data Lead to join our Data & Analytics team. In this pivotal role, you’ll design and implement robust data quality frameworks, champion best practices, and ensure accuracy and reliability—especially during a major migration to our new CRM system. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with QA, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Integration teams to implement QA strategies across APIs, system integrations, and data flows.
- Align QA efforts with project goals by collaborating with project managers, architects, developers, and business analysts.
- Lead ETL testing strategies to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading across Snowflake and DBT pipelines.
- Review and refine test plans, test cases, and automation approaches based on business and technical requirements.
- Drive automation initiatives and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and report on test progress, quality metrics, and risks; ensure timely defect identification and resolution.
- Support legacy data migration by validating source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and final data loads into the new CRM.
About You | Mōu
You’re a confident QA leader with a strong background in data testing and a passion for quality. You bring:
- Strong understanding of SQL, middleware, ETL, data mapping, enterprise integration patterns, and data governance.
- Hands-on experience with DBT for data modeling, testing, and transformation.
- Proven experience in ETL testing, including source-to-target validation and reconciliation
- Proven ability to lead QA teams and collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Strong communication skills to explain testing outcomes and risks clearly.
- A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and risk management.
