About the role

Join us as our next Quality Assurance Manager at our Dunsandel site. This is your chance to lead a dedicated team, work alongside passionate people across the business and build a strong culture of food safety, quality and continuous improvement.

You’ll be at the centre of ensuring our products earn the trust of our customers while supporting and developing your team to do their best work every day.

Key responsibilities of this role include..

  • Leading and overseeing daily operations of the Quality Operations team
  • Driving compliance with regulatory, customer and audit requirements
  • Managing and developing food safety and quality systems (HACCP, GMP, SOPs)
  • Monitoring product quality trends and leading corrective/preventive actions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues
  • Leading audits, investigations and critical food safety events
  • Building a strong food safety culture through training, leadership and continuous improvement
  • Setting clear goals, tracking performance, and delivering measurable outcomes in Quality Operations
  • Inspire a sense of ownership and accountability within the team to drive results

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline
  • Proven leadership experience in a food manufacturing or dairy processing environment
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety/quality management systems
  • Experience managing audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across teams
  • A proactive mindset, with a drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Proven ability to build strong food safety culture through training, coaching, and leadership
