About the Role:
As the Reception Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our diverse international guests. Your role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless check-in/check-out process, delivering exceptional customer service, and overseeing daily hostel operations. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team to create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for travelers from around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, handle check-ins/outs, and address inquiries in person, via phone, and email.
- Reservations Management: Utilize our Property Management System (Mews) to manage bookings, cancellations, and guest data accurately.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train reception staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and fostering a positive team environment.
- Financial Oversight: Process payments, maintain accurate cash handling procedures, and assist with financial reporting.
- Operational Support: Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure the hostel is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and promoting hostel events and activities to enhance guest engagement.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a reception or front-of-house role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry.
- Skills: Proficient in computer applications and PMS software; strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attributes: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive, friendly demeanor.
- Commitment: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Rotating roster
