About the role

Our Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner actively supports the business to promote safety & wellbeing in an effort to reduce risks and prevent injuries. This role will see you use your expert knowledge to provide advice, coaching, influence and direction to leaders and team members.
What's Involved:
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, to help influence, promote and build a strong safety culture in line with business objectives
Inspire, coach and empower leaders and teams to deliver strategic and tactical safety priorities at pace, including investigations, safety advice and training
Lead serious incident investigations and develop high quality reporting which enable’s the business to learn and improve.
Identify issues and trends as the basis for proactive site visits and observations, providing feedback on identified hazards and unsafe behaviours
Provide expert guidance on health, safety, and wellbeing, with a focus on injury prevention, critical risk management, and effective incident and injury response across operational activities.
Contribute to the development of programs, projects and training to lift safety engagement and action across the business
Participate in analysis and reporting on regional safety performance, site results, emerging trends and injury hotspots
Support and coach sites and leaders on the incident investigation process and empower leaders to take control of these investigations
Who we’re looking for:
Bringing your strong relationship and stakeholder engagement skills you will be highly skilled at liaising with all levels of the organisation, building trusted relationships and understanding stakeholder needs.
You'll need:
Technical safety expertise to analyse and investigate safety incidents, issues, trends, assess risk and communicate with regulators
Previous experience in retail environment desirable
Tertiary qualification in health and safety, injury management or related discipline
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly the ability to lead, influence and inspire proactive action and change
Solid understanding of health & safety legislation, compliance obligations and ability to follow policies, procedures and systems
Engaging and communicative style which inspires action and empowers teams to own safety
